Our vision
Uniac exists to provide its member universities with a high quality internal audit service. Our vision is to be the most effective internal auditors in the UK Higher Education sector. We are achieving this by:
- working closely Higher Education institutions that are committed to the highest standard of value adding internal audit
- ensuring our costs are competitive with alternative providers
- investing in the development of our staff base and our audit methodology to ensure that we stand out from our competitors and perform effectively and efficiently
- being a valued partner for our Members' senior management teams and audit committees to ensure that we are aware of their business priorities and address their needs for audit, assurance and consultancy related activities
- identifying and recruiting potential member universities that share our commitment to high quality internal audit
- remaining abreast of developments within the Higher Education sector, exercising influence over audit related changes and responding effectively to all changes.
In particular we have built good links with the HEFCE and HEFCW assurance services and have a first class history of working closely with them. We have undertaken a number of secondments with and contracts for HEFCE
