Our team

We are a small but growing organisation, which currently has 20 staff. Uniac is headed by three directors but is otherwise a non-hierarchical organisation.

Staff are equipped with the latest technology to work independently at any of our member institutions: although most will either tend to work predominantly in either the North West or in Yorkshire and the North East.

We have a small administrative base in Manchester with hot desking facilities and meeting rooms. We also have designated facilities for Uniac staff at each of our member universities.

Staff have a can-do mindset and everyone is encouraged to get involved wherever they can make a contribution: whether to audits or to the development of Uniac’s own strategy. Staff often work on their own or in small teams so we all meet up at regular team days (held every eight weeks) to catch up and share ideas and new developments.

Our current team joined Uniac from a variety of backgrounds. We have internal auditors with previous experience, staff who came from non-audit positions and graduate trainees. In previous walks of life our staff have been amongst other things: marketing professionals, banking officials, management accountants, academics, internal auditors with the big four - both at home and abroad, IT professionals, media trainees, statisticians, senior managers in both the public and private sector, scientists and students.

So, as you can see, we are interested in all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds joining our team. We are keen to embrace as wide a range of experiences both from work and life as possible.
