Life at Uniac
We wholeheartedly subscribe to the point of view that if you treat people well and reward them fairly and equitably, appreciate and value individual needs, then in return staff will meet and often surpass expectations.
We are committed to the continued development of all our staff and we don’t stint on financial rewards. Our salaries are intended to attract and retain the very best staff. The more you take on and the better you perform, the more we will reward you.
We take pride in looking after our staff well, we offer 25 days holiday (plus a week at Christmas) as standard, with bank holidays on top of this. Staff also have the option to take extra days as unpaid leave if they so wish.
We are a family friendly organisation. We recognise that sometimes you may need us to be flexible – and so wherever we can be, we will be. We subscribe to the Busy Bees childcare voucher scheme for staff with children.
All staff are entitled to membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, staff contributions vary depending on salary (to a maximum of 7.5% of salary) and are matched by a contribution from Uniac of 13.2%, making it a very attractive final salary scheme.
As you won’t have your own office, and it may not always be convenient for you to base yourself at one of the members or in our Manchester office, the flexibility of being able to work from home from time to time, is widely appreciated by our staff.
We offer all staff an interest free season ticket loan, to take the sting out of public transport costs. We constantly review the benefits that we offer staff and are always looking for ways to enhance the way we all work. So if you join us and can think of other ways that we can demonstrate how much we appreciate our staff then please do let us know, if we all think it’s a good idea and we can find a way to implement it then we will!
It is very important to us at Uniac that we all have a really good work life balance. Staff are encouraged to work smarter so that we don’t have to work long hours to achieve high standards. As far as we are concerned the ‘lunch is for wimps’ brigade will find us sadly lacking……we like lunch, its an opportunity for us all to catch up!
We do get together after work from time to time for social reasons – but don’t worry there isn’t a three line whip……you don’t have to come, but we do tend to have a nice time!
