Our Shared Service Approach to Internal Audit
Uniac was founded in 1992 to meet the need for an internal audit provision with in-depth Higher Education sector knowledge. Our founding Members recognised that in-house internal audit teams had a good understanding of their individual institution but lacked sector wide exposure and experience. On the other hand the bigger audit and accountancy firms were perceived to lack the specialist sector knowledge and so Uniac consortium formed to bridge the gap.
Uniac was the first HE audit consortium to be established in the UK, we now have 20 years experience of the consortium approach and our Members remain happy with our services and keep wanting more! The key to our success is flexibility. We listen to what each of our Memebrs wants, and we tailor our style and delivery to meet those expectations
