External Engagement
Uniac is an active contributor to both Sector and Professional networks. In particular we:
- belong to the Higher Education Audit Liaison group, established by HEFCE as a forum for firms offering external and internal audit within the Sector;
- are active members of the Council of Higher Education Internal Auditors(CHEIA) with representation on its Northern Region committee; and
- participate in the Heads of Internal Audit network of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
We also have a highly successful partnership with Astra Zeneca’s Group Internal Audit function which includes two way secondments of staff as well as the ongoing exchange of ideas. These engagements help ensure both that we remain at the leading edge of our profession, and indeed that we use our own distinctive ethos and approach to contribute to professional thinking within and beyond the Sector.
Individually, we strongly encourage and support our staff in maintain their own professional links and networks: recognising that this offers a valuable contribution to our organisation’s strength.
