External Engagement
Uniac is contibutes to both Sector and Professional networks. In particular we:
- are corporate members of the Institute of Internal Auditors
- belong to the Higher Education Audit Liaison group, established by HEFCE as a forum for firms offering external and internal audit within the Sector;
- are active members of the Council of Higher Education Internal Auditors(CHEIA) with representation on its national executive; and
- participate in the Heads of Internal Audit network of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- are participants at BUFDG and AHUA events
We also have highly successful partnership with internal audit teams in other sectors which includes two way secondments of staff as well as the ongoing exchange of ideas. These engagements help ensure both that we remain at the leading edge of our profession, and indeed that we use our own distinctive ethos and approach to contribute to professional thinking within and beyond the Sector.
Individually, we strongly encourage and support our staff in maintaining their own professional links and networks: recognising that this offers a valuable contribution to our organisation’s strength.
