Our team
We have built up a team of professionals who really understand the Sector and the risks that Universities face. This means that we are well aware of the context when carrying out the audits and concentrate on the areas that matter. Our in-depth knowledge means that we can get to the heart of the risks quickly and spend time working with you on solutions. We recognise that it is important to bring in ideas and approaches from outside the Sector and with that in mind we recruit from all backgrounds and have developed a partnership arrangement with our peers in other sectors. Our secondments with Members also means that staff build an even closer understanding of University environments which feeds through to a stronger appreciation of real life risks and management approaches.
The Members get the ‘collective best’ from Uniac on each review. Each audit benefits from staff who know the subject and staff that know the institutions. We may not seem as big as some of our competitors but in fact we offer the country’s largest concentration of specialist HE audit professionals.
As well as the IT specialist knowledge that you would expect, we have experts on data, environment and estates issues, European and other grants, TRAC and FEC, accomodation codes and UKBA requirements. In addition, and particulalry relveant as tuition fees increase, several of our staff specialise in the audit of student facing processes, in marketing and recruitment activities and in supporting student experiences.
