The University of Manchester
The University of Manchester is Britain’s largest university, by turnover and student numbers, and one of its preeminent research institutions.
Together with the neighbouring Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Manchester forms Europe’s largest student quarter. It traces its origins back to 1824 and along the way, the atom was first split here and computing originated here too. Today, a modern campus continues to host world class research.
